Satin Finish Hardwood Flooring, Limited ("Satin Flooring") is a Toronto-based manufacturer of solid and engineered hardwood and importer/distributor of laminate and luxury vinyl flooring. Satin Flooring services the Ontario and Western Canada's builder market as well as some of Canada's most prestigious home builders and flooring contractors. Satin Flooring has a retailer network servicing the greater Toronto area as well as several established customers in the residential market in the United States.
On January 2, 2019, Satin Flooring filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal (the "Proposal") pursuant to s.50.4(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) (the "Act") and MNP Ltd. has consented to act as Proposal Trustee.

On June 15, 2019, Satin Flooring failed to file the Proposal within the extension of the period granted by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice under the s.50.4(9) of the Act and is deemed to have thereupon made an assignment pursuant to s.50.4(8)(b) of the Act. MNP Ltd. was appointed as the trustee (the “Trustee”) of the estate of Satin Flooring's bankruptcy.
