2192314 Ontario Inc.Tetu Island Lodge

On April 21, 2021, 2192314 Ontario Inc. o/a Tetu Island Lodge was placed into receivership by the Business Development Bank of Canada.  Solicitor for BDC was Soloway Wright LLP. Tetu operates a remote hunting and fishing lodge on the English-Winnipeg River system, 4 miles east of the Manitoba Board and 4 hours from International Falls, Minnesota.  The majority of guests who attend the lodge are from the United States.  With the continuing boarder closure between Canada and the USA, there has been no income since 2019.  The owners of the lodge are also American and the travel restrictions have not allowed them to attend the lodge to operate the facility.  The operations appear to be turnkey and will be attractive to investors who have similar operations.
