6317081 Canada Inc.Glebe Reggio Centre and Sunnyside Footsteps Parent Centre

On September 21, 2021, the Superior Court of Justice Ordered the Court Appointed Receiver to bankrupt 6317081 Canada Inc., O/A Glebe Reggio Centre and Sunnyside Footsteps Parent Centre, in order to allow the Licensed Insolvency Trustee to commence claims process for the remaining unsecured creditors. The surplus proceeds were generated from the sale of real estate located in Ottawa, which was being held in a sister corporation.  These surplus funds were then applied to the inter corporate debt which resulted in 6317081 Canada Inc. being able to provide a distribution to unsecured creditors. 

The daycare operation ceased as a result of COVID-19 lock down measures and did not resume operation.  The Bank of Nova Scotia appointed MNP LTD. as Receiver to realize on the secured mortgage indebtedness.  The Receivership has been fully performed.
