Linda is a Senior Vice President and Licensed Insolvency Trustee at MNP Ltd., specializing in the Consumer Insolvency practice. She provides personalized support to clients in Surrey, the Fraser Valley, Vancouver, and Vancouver Island helping them navigate financial challenges and regain financial stability.
Before joining MNP, Linda led the Consumer Insolvency Practice at one of the big four firms in the Fraser Valley from 2007 to 2011. She started her insolvency career in Winnipeg, working on consumer and corporate files from 2000 to 2005 before relocating to British Columbia.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Manitoba, which she earned in 1996. She obtained the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) designation in 2012 and became a licensed trustee in 2013 after successfully challenging the Oral Board of Examination. Linda also completed the BIA Insolvency Counsellor's Qualification Course in 2002 and the Course on Insolvency Administration in 2001. She has been a member of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP) since 2013, previously serving as an articling member since 2002.
Linda has delivered presentations and workshops on various insolvency topics to organizations, schools, law groups, and financial institutions. She has also been involved in professional events, such as the CAIRP Annual Forum, IWIRC Western Canada events, Insolvency Lunch and Learn events, and the CAIRP Annual Conferences. Linda has also sat on the Board for the OSB’s Oral Board of Examination as part of the licensing process for Licensed Insolvency trustees.
In addition to her professional engagements, Linda has held various roles in organizations and committees, including serving as President and Vice-President of the Board of Directors for BCAIRP, being a member of the BC Bankruptcy Practice Committee and the Canada Revenue Agency Committee, and serving as the New Members Board Liaison on the CAIRP Board of Directors. She has also contributed as a test writer for the CIRP National Insolvency Exam and has been involved in the Insolvency Discussion Group in Vancouver.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys coaching ringette, running marathons, kayaking, and spending time with her family.
