Eric Sirrs, CIRP, LIT, is a Senior Vice President with MNP’s Insolvency & Corporate Recovery group. Based in Edmonton, Eric works with financial institutions, creditors, government agencies, shareholders and debtors to manage complex engagements arising from insolvency or shareholder conflict issues. He also works with deceased estates as the corporate executor and with individuals with complicated financial affairs who have been determined to be dependent adults under the Dependent Adult Act and who require a Trustee.
Eric consults with and advises clients on their options and helps tailor effective solutions. His services include monitoring, bankruptcy and receivership, asset preservation and realization, financial restructuring and viability assessment. Eric has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, forestry, oil and gas and hospitality. He has strong project management and crisis management skills and the ability to deal calmly with all parties to stabilize volatile situations.
In 1999 Eric obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta. He holds the designations of Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) and Trustee in Bankruptcy. Eric is actively involved in his personal and professional communities, having coached both soccer and minor hockey and having served on several professional association committees.
